Citroen C-Cactus: the lowdown
Get the prickly jokes out of the way now; Citroen is deadly serious about its new C-Cactus. Its risible name was apparently picked - groan - because it's low on consumption like the spiky desert plant... Yes, it's yet another green concept car, designed to showcase a company's commitment to saving the planet.
First year students at the Royal College of Art in London, UK, presented their interpretations of a small Tata that boasted internationally appealing Indian character. Following on from the Indica and Nano small cars, the project aimed to call out existing typologies for the brand and create an innovative and internationally relevant product. The brief also aimed to build on – and assist – Tata's fast-track development to be a leading small car global brand by building on the brand's extensive portfolio beyond the automotive sector.
General Motors is teasing a new convertible set to go on sale in Europe early next year. Named Cascada, the four-seat convertible is based on the Opel Astra platform but is slightly larger than the Audi A5. U.S.
